Online, of course!  We use GoToTraining for our virtual classroom environment, which allows for real-time instruction through video, audio, chat, and file sharing.  We have built comprehensive lab scenarios and code walkthroughs designed with the online classroom environment in mind.

Who this workshop is for:

  • Coders brand new to iOS and the iPhone development environment, but have some familiarity with C or OOP languages (Java, C#, etc...)
  • Developers who have already started dabbling in iOS / iPhone app creation, and want to add functionality to their projects.

Student Requirements:Xcode 4 Tutorials

  • An Apple iMac or MacBook running 10.6 or higher
  • Xcode 4 and iOS 5 SDK installed (latest versions)
  • Some knowledge of programming (VB, C, C++, C#, Java, Python, etc), object-oriented knowledge is preferred.

Optional:

  • An iPhone / iPod / iPad that you would like to test your labs on live.  Mostly all of the labwork can be run on the iPhone Simulator software.  
    *You will need to get an Apple Developer License prior to the workshop if you want to run your code on your hardware.
